Full Definition

Extra Brut is a sparkling wine sweetness category between Brut Nature and Brut, containing 0-6 grams per liter of residual sugar. Drier than standard Brut (up to 12 g/L), it shows more austere, mineral character with pure expression of base wine and terroir. Increasingly popular with quality Champagne.
