Prestigious Sangiovese wine from Montepulciano, Tuscany.

Full Definition

Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is a DOCG red wine from the Tuscan town of Montepulciano, made primarily from Sangiovese (locally called Prugnolo Gentile). First wine to receive DOCG status (1980). Not to be confused with Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, a different grape variety.
