Full Definition

Bite refers to a pronounced acidic edge in wine that creates a sharp, crisp sensation on the palate. It can be a positive characteristic in fresh whites and sparkling wines, or negative when excessive and out of balance. Similar to but stronger than 'crisp' or 'bright.'
