Perfumed describes wines with intense, complex, lifted aromatics reminiscent of perfume. High praise suggesting sophisticated aromatic complexity. Often applied to Burgundy, aged Barolo, aromatic whites like Viognier, and fine aged wines. The opposite of muted or closed.
