Full Definition
Aromatic describes wines (and grape varieties) with pronounced, perfumed aromas. Aromatic varieties include Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Muscat, Torrontes, and Viognier. Their distinctive terpene compounds create intense floral and fruity scents. Aromatic wines often have moderate acidity and are best served young.
