Full Definition
Floral describes wine aromas suggesting flowers such as rose, violet, jasmine, orange blossom, honeysuckle, or elderflower. Common in aromatic whites (Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Muscat) and certain reds (Nebbiolo for rose/violet, Gamay). Derived from grape terpenes and fermentation compounds. Generally positive and attractive.
