The strength or concentration of aromas and flavors.

Full Definition

Intensity measures how powerful or concentrated aromas and flavors are, separate from their quality or complexity. A wine can be intensely aromatic but simple, or subtle but complex. Intensity is evaluated on the nose and palate separately. Low intensity can indicate a neutral wine or one that's closed.
