Rose (pink wine) is made from red grapes with limited skin contact - either direct pressing, short maceration, or saignee (bleeding). Color ranges from pale salmon to deep coral depending on technique and grape variety. Dry Provence rose dominates the market, but styles range from off-dry to sweet, still to sparkling.
