Full Definition
Grower Champagne (Recoltant-Manipulant, marked 'RM' on label) is made by farmers who grow grapes and produce wine from their own vineyards, as opposed to large houses (negociant-manipulants) that buy grapes. Grower Champagnes often express specific terroir and offer value alternatives to famous brands.
