Full Definition
Closure refers to what seals a wine bottle: natural cork, technical cork, synthetic cork, screwcap (Stelvin), glass stopper (Vino-Lok), or crown cap. Each has different oxygen transmission rates affecting aging. The closure debate - particularly cork vs. screwcap - remains contentious in the wine industry.
