Aromatized Wine

Wine flavored with herbs, spices, or botanicals.

Full Definition

Aromatized wines are flavored with herbs, spices, flowers, or other botanicals. Vermouth is the most famous example, flavored with wormwood and other aromatics. Quinquina contains quinine. These are typically fortified as well. Aromatized wines are used in cocktails and as aperitifs.
