Dolce is the Italian word for sweet, used on labels to indicate sweet wines. Italian sweetness levels progress from secco (dry) through abboccato (off-dry), amabile (semi-sweet), to dolce (sweet). Often seen with Asti Spumante, Moscato, and Recioto wines.
