Cuvee literally means 'tank' or 'vat' but refers to a specific blend or batch of wine. In Champagne, it can mean the first (best) press juice or a particular house blend. Elsewhere, 'cuvee' often denotes a special selection or proprietary blend. Usage is unregulated and varies widely.
