Cru Bourgeois is a Bordeaux classification for chateaux not included in the 1855 Classification, covering estates in the Medoc. The classification has been controversial, disbanded, and reinstated multiple times. Currently, it includes three tiers: Cru Bourgeois, Cru Bourgeois Superieur, and Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel.
