Beaujolais is a French wine region producing red wines from Gamay grapes. Styles range from simple, carbonic-macerated Beaujolais and Beaujolais-Villages to serious, age-worthy wines from the ten Crus (Morgon, Moulin-a-Vent, Fleurie, etc.). Beaujolais Nouveau, released annually in November, is famously fresh and fruity.
