Clean
/KLEEN/
Wine without faults or off-flavors.
Full Definition
Clean describes wine free of faults, off-flavors, or unwanted characteristics. A clean wine shows pure fruit and intended character without contamination. It's a baseline quality requirement rather than a compliment. The opposite would be funky, dirty, or faulty.
