Full Definition
Negociant Manipulant (NM) designates a Champagne producer who buys grapes or must from growers rather than relying solely on estate vineyards. Most major Champagne houses (Moet, Veuve Clicquot, Krug) are NM. They may own vineyards but also purchase widely to maintain volume and style.
