Kabinett is the first Pradikat level in German wine classification, indicating grapes with minimum must weight of 67-85 Oechsle (depending on region). Kabinett wines are typically light, fresh, and lower in alcohol, often with some residual sugar balanced by high acidity. The style originated in the 18th century cabinet cellars.
