Chenin Blanc is a white grape variety originating in Loire Valley, producing wines in every style from bone-dry to lusciously sweet, still to sparkling. High acidity enables excellent aging. Famous Loire appellations include Vouvray, Savennieres, and sweet Coteaux du Layon. South Africa is now the largest producer.
