Dark, full-fruited Barbera from Brovia's Serra Lunga vineyard. Black cherry, leather, dried herbs and a touch of menthol and licorice move through a palate that's concentrated without being heavy. Cask aging has smoothed the wine's edges while keeping the fruit vivid and the structure intact, a well-handled balance that's harder to pull off than it looks.
