Volcanic ash, dried herbs and iron-edged earthiness open this inaugural single-parcel Riserva, with dusty rose petals and spiced dark cherry emerging as it breathes. Deceptively approachable at first, the fruit is ripe and generous, threaded through with zesty acidity, but fine tannins tighten gradually and the underlying structure reveals itself to be substantial. Tart woodland berries and inner floral notes linger through a long, persistent finish that signals this wine is still years from its peak. The inaugural vintage from a pre-phylloxera plot, this needs time to fully resolve. Drink 2026–2040.
