Leitz Riesling Rüdesheimer Berg Roseneck Grosses Gewächs 2014

Wet slate, lime zest, and a faint thread of white peach set a precise, mineral tone from the outset. Acidity cuts clean and deep, yet there's an almost waxy richness underneath that fills the mid-palate and lingers. Tightly wound and austere right now, this needs time, the Berg Roseneck site has loaded it with more than it's currently willing to show. Give it 5–10 years and expect something considerably more generous.
