Brovia Barolo Garblèt Sue’ 2012

Lean and angular, even by Barolo standards. Red cherry, pomegranate, orange peel and white pepper come through clearly, but it's the structure that defines this wine, firm, somewhat rustic tannins and a taut frame that runs long and precise through the finish. Mid-palate richness is restrained compared to Brovia's other crus, giving it an austere, nervy character. A strong showing from the Garblèt Sue' vineyard nonetheless.
