Brovia Barolo Garblèt Sue’ 2011

Barolo, Italy

Polished and composed for a Castiglione Falletto wine, a site that typically yields something wilder and more muscular. White pepper, pomegranate and sweet red cherry lead the nose, clean and focused. On the palate, the fruit stays precise and well-defined, with a brightness that gives the wine genuine lift. The softer contours of the 2011 vintage are very much present, lending an alluring roundness without sacrificing direction. Drink now through 2028.
