Clay soils deliver serious concentration here. Rich blackberry and earth meld with coffee and dried herbs on a structured palate. The tannins have real grip, though extended air brings out some roasted edges that slightly diminish the wine's natural elegance. Still, this shows why Southern Valleys works so well for Pinot.
