Aldo Conterno Nebbiolo Il Favot Langhe 2010

Red
Langhe, Italy
7.1
WineSaint

Dried rose petal, crushed red cherry and a faint trace of orange zest on a clean, composed nose. On the palate, raspberry and red cherry flavors show good definition and precision, framed by a firm, focused structure that keeps everything pulled tight. The finish is lean and a bit austere, give it a year or two to open up. Noticeably cleaner than the 2008, which leaned too hard on oak. A polished, food-friendly Nebbiolo that makes a strong case for the Langhe format.
