Orange wine is white wine fermented with extended skin contact (days to months), extracting color, tannin, and phenolics like red wine production. The resulting amber/orange color gives the name. Ancient in Georgia and Slovenia, it's been revived by natural wine producers. Styles range from subtle amber to deeply tannic.
