Master of Wine (MW) is the highest professional wine qualification, awarded by the Institute of Masters of Wine in London. The program requires passing theory exams, a blind tasting exam, and submitting a research paper. Only about 420 MWs exist worldwide. It takes most candidates 3-5 years to complete.
