Eleven varieties go into this, with Weissburgunder, Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling and Neuburger making up 90% of the blend, two thirds sourced from Bisamberg, the rest from Nussberg. The nose is quiet and a little yeasty, taking its time to open. On the palate, though, it earns its keep: savory and light on its feet, with a peppery lift and genuine textural presence. What impresses most is the depth hiding beneath that delicacy, this is an entry-level Gemischter Satz that punches well above its station.
