Sourced from 60–70-year-old vines on the warm, concave western flank of the Nussberg and aged in used 500–1,000-liter barrels, this is Viennese Grüner at its most seductive. Linden blossom and a mossy, almost woodland softness drift from the glass, richly perfumed and unhurried. On the palate, ripe Amalfi lemon zest cuts through with welcome precision, lending an incisive quality that keeps the wine's considerable concentration honest. Creamy in texture yet finely balanced, old vines and a generous site working in concert.
