Ripe nectarine and white peach flesh dominate, with a musky, almost honeyed weight that distinguishes this from the more austere single-vineyard bottlings. There's a flinty edge beneath the fruit, and the French oak shows as toasted hazelnut rather than vanilla. Full and fleshy on the palate, it trades precision for generosity. And succeeds. The finish rounds off gently, confirming this as the most approachable Sexton yet.
