Afternoon shade from the Höhereck site gives this Kellerberg Smaragd a softer, more contemplative character than most. Ripe apricot leads, plush and inviting, followed by citrus oil and a quiet but persistent concentration. There's a seamless quality to the texture, nothing jars, nothing rushes. That it achieves this in a demanding vintage makes it all the more impressive.
