Emmerich Knoll Grüner Veltliner Loibner Vinothekfüllung Smaragd 2024

Fruit sourced from Kreutles, Loibenberg, and a touch of Kellerberg, the ripest picks across the estate, with a trace of botrytis in the mix. Closed on the nose right now, giving little away. On the palate it opens up into something altogether more generous: creamy and smooth, with a deep umami-like savouriness reminiscent of white miso, rich but never heavy. The texture flows without any of the bloated weight that can plague wines at this ripeness level, there's real precision underneath the richness, a taut backbone keeping everything in line. Give it time. The balance here is the whole point.
