F.X. Pichler Grüner Veltliner Dürnsteiner 2023

Drawn from younger vines across Mühlpoint, Klosteratz, Loibenberg, Kellerberg and Steinertal, this Dürnsteiner shows a noticeably ripe character, pear, white pepper and white miso lift from the glass with easy confidence. On the palate it's smooth and well-rounded, with a concentrated mid-palate weight and that distinctive umami thread running through to a savory, bone-dry finish. Uncomplicated but well-made, a fine introduction to what these sites can do.
