From a south-facing parcel of amphibolite and paragneiss just across the border in Kremstal, this bone-dry Selektion opens with a faint reductive note curling around ripe navel orange. Lees contact gives the wine a smooth, juicy weight on the mid-palate, creamy apricot flesh, unhurried and generous. The finish sharpens into clementine zest and lasting ripe orange pith, adding lift where the mid-palate was plush. Delicious and complete.
