Pure loess from a southeast-facing cooler site shapes this into one of Ott's more delicate expressions. White pear, a breath of fern and softly ground white pepper drift across the nose with an airy, almost weightless creaminess. On the palate it's lean and poised, gentle fruit, fine-boned acidity, and just enough peppery grip on the finish to remind you there's real substance beneath the lightness. Bone-dry and effortlessly fresh.
