Bernhard Ott Grüner Veltliner Am Berg 2023

Sourced from Engabrunn, Feuersbrunn and Grossriedenthal, this bone-dry Grüner was whole-bunch crushed with up to six hours of skin contact before fermentation, mostly in stainless steel. The nose opens with an appealing mossy, herbal freshness alongside fragrant citrus peel, clean and immediately inviting. Light-footed and crunchy on the palate, with a slender, precise frame and just enough grip to give it presence. White pepper and a faint yeasty savory note flicker around the edges before a bright, lemony finish closes things out. Unpretentious and thoroughly alive.
