Barmès-Buecher Sylvaner Rosenberg 2023

Clay and limestone from Rosenberg's northern parcels, foudre-fermented and left on gross lees through late July. Straw, beeswax and a flicker of orange zest on the nose. The palate is where this shines, rounded and generous but with a lovely sinuous shape to it, fluid rather than flat. The 14 g/L of residual sugar barely registers; what you feel instead is bright fruit and a quiet, harmonious sweetness that lifts rather than weighs.
