Alheit Vineyards Nautical Dawn 2023

Granite-grown Chenin from Sinai Hill, blended into the Cartology until 2017 before earning its own bottling. Dried honey, lanolin and a dusting of chalk emerge with air, understated at first, then focused. Bright and precise, with a touch more tropical weight than the Fire by Night; pear and orange pith carry through to a vivid, lemongrass-tinged finish. Beautifully poised.
