Whole bunch pressed into old foudres, this is Swartland Chenin Blanc in its most tropical, generous guise. Citrus pith, orange blossom and a trace of blackcurrant leaf on the nose, with a mineral undercurrent and a nutty, oxidative note that opens up with air. From there it turns lush, guava, passion fruit, a touch of warm spice, the most exotic and voluptuous of Sadie's white wines, yet it holds its line through a long, persistent finish. Seductive from start to end.
