The Sadie Family Wines Grillo 2022

One of the most elusive wines in the Cape, Eben Sadie produced just 134 magnums of the 2022 Grillo, distributed quietly to a handful of Cape restaurants. The nose takes a few minutes to settle, then comes together around lemon verbena and a gentle lanolin drift. Not the most complex wine on the palate, but there's a beguiling Muscat-like quality that gives it real character. Taut and focused rather than expansive, with a punchy burst of salinity on the finish that lingers just long enough to leave an impression.
