Rudi Pichler Riesling Kirchweg Smaragd 2022

From a flat Danube-side site where loess meets paragneiss, this bone-dry Kirchweg opens with ripe apricot softened by a citrus edge, aromatic and inviting without being showy. On the palate it's focused and taut, citrus-driven with a saline, almost oceanic coolness that gradually gives way to riper stone fruit. The length is exceptional. A gorgeous expression of terroir that deserves attention.
