A standout from Scavino in 2022, showing more freshness and lift than the vintage might suggest. Dark cherry, blood orange, iron and incense open slowly, joined by gravel and white pepper as the wine breathes, an exotic, layered aromatic profile that rewards patience. Firm Serra Lunga tannins give the structure you'd expect from Prapò, but they're not punishing; a year or two in the cellar should be enough to find the wine at its best. A fine effort.

→A Castiglione Falletto estate synonymous with single-vineyard Barolo, Paolo Scavino built its reputation on Bric dël Fiasc before expanding across some of the Langhe's most sought-after crus. Now run by the second generation, the wines remain precise, structured, and worth seeking out.
