Peony, violet, pomegranate and blueberry open on the nose, underpinned by crushed stone and a generous dusting of black pepper. There's tremendous vitality in the mid-palate: bright acidity, juicy fruit, and a freshness that feels almost spring-loaded despite the depth below. Fine, firm tannins hold everything in place without a hint of grip, and the finish is long, fragrant, and genuinely profound. Give it time, but it's already compelling.
