Creamy and yielding from the first sniff, Mirabelle jam, a dusting of chalk, something softly floral underneath. This field blend of Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Sylvaner and others from the marl-heavy soils between Bergheim and Ribeauvillé carries real textural weight, partly from destemmed fruit added at the tank's base. The palate is juicy and bright, plum skin and ripe lemon cutting through the richness. Bone dry, but generous, moreish in the best sense.
