Sourced from the Eselsberg Erste Lage and younger Rothenberg vines grown on rhyolite of the Red Slope. Dried herbs and a faint nuttiness open things up, hinting at the concentration to come. On the palate, ripe acidity is lifted and focused by a grapefruit-pith texture that keeps the weight honest, juicy and full without ever feeling heavy. Bone-dry, subtly aromatic, and very well-balanced.
