Jean Foillard Morgon Côte-du-Py 2022

Dark cherry, iron-tinged earth, and cracked black pepper on the nose, unmistakably Côte du Py. The tannins are fine but firm, framing a mid-weight frame with real grip and a mineral undercurrent that carries through to a long, spice-laced finish. Taut and restrained right now, this needs time to open up and show its full hand. Give it four or five years minimum.
