F.X. Pichler Grüner Veltliner Loibner 2022

Sourced from alluvial gravel soils along the Danube and vinified entirely in stainless steel, this is Grüner Veltliner in its lightest, most refreshing register. Green pear and ripe apple lead on the nose, warmed by a sunnier citrus note, ripe lemon with just enough ripeness to feel generous rather than austere. It moves across the palate with an easy, almost weightless grace, the juicy fruit animated by a lively burst of white pepper before narrowing toward a finish of green citrus and fresh herb. Slender, dry, and pleasingly direct.
