Straight from barrel, this 2022 Verduno Barolo is still finding its footing, raw and unresolved, but the bones are there. Dark cherry, worn leather, charred herbs, menthol and tobacco give it a brooding, almost masculine gravity. The pieces are all present; it simply needs time and bottle to pull them into focus. One to revisit at release.
