Emmerich Knoll Gelber Traminer Loibner Smaragd 2022

Sourced predominantly from valley floor vineyards, with small contributions from Kellerberg and Loibenberg. The nose is understated for the variety, rose petal and a trace of grapefruit spice rather than the showy exoticism Traminer can lean toward, and those notes carry through with quiet persistence. On the palate, there's a rich, almost viscous concentration, yet it never feels heavy, a bright, citrus-driven freshness keeps everything in balance. That lemony pull extends through a long, clean finish. Bone-dry. Generous now, but this is genuinely built for the cellar; give it five or more years and it will be something special.
